I have to admit it: I’m a scarf junkie. Always have been. When I first went to Ecuador as a college student, I was blown away by the quality of the products, the range of styles, and the dedication of the Andean people to their craft. Modern times have brought changes to the region, but the communities of the Ecuadorian highlands maintain an ardent passion for the traditions that their ancestors have passed down to them. Here's where Andes Village comes in. With a few more trips to Ecuador and the help of a small team, we’ve been able to establish a small shop that brings these beautiful textiles to you. We didn’t just want to import the coolest styles— we wanted to make a difference. That’s why we are committed to creating long-term relationships with our partners in Ecuador and sourcing from providers who reinvest their earnings into their families and their communities. A little bit of conscious shopping can go a long way in empowering women and their families, and we thank you for their support. Here’s to the things we love: Building community. Connecting the world. Wearing the coziest and coolest scarves.
